In my late teens–early twenties at Whole Foods, I was just stocking shelves, but I saw how branding shapes identity, people weren’t buying groceries; they were buying belonging. Customers defended organic bananas like family. That’s when I learned branding creates devotion.



Soon after, I was trusted to manage inventory for my department. Ordering product and keeping a department in stock taught me discipline, forecasting, and how real responsibility feels when decisions impact the business.
