The Goal: Create a fun, unique merch that accurately pays homage to 90’s basketball trading cards.
Credits: I took charge of the concept, creative direction, art direction, and additional design elements. Photography was masterfully captured by Ray “Neutron” Spears, while wardrobe was expertly styled by Zeek Elliott.
Jacob Henley served as the principal designer for cards 1-6, with Alex Lopez leading the design for cards 7-8.

Magic & Bird was the first project where I got to truly flex both my creative direction and design skills.
When Andy Mineo and I started talking merch, trading cards felt like the perfect fit—rooted in the project’s strong 90s NBA aesthetic and full of nostalgia for me as a former card-collecting kid.
At the time (2017), it felt like a fresh and unexpected take on music merch. My only regret? We didn’t go all-in with custom packaging—just clear plastic bags. Still, fans loved them.
